Ahhh how cute ; )
This is not a new picture. I just posted it because I think it’s cute : ). It was when we went to Lagoon last October just before we were engaged.
I have been student teaching in a third grade since January and loving it! It was stressful and overwhelming at times, but I have learned so much. I feel ready for my own class now! This is a picture taken at our Amish feast. They read a book about the Amish culture, so to celebrate the end of the book we had a feast! We sent home real Amish recipes to the parents and they brought SO MUCH! The food was soooo good. Especially the Amish meatballs. I teach the gifted reading class. We work hard, but we have so much fun!My third graders
I took this at our Valentines party. I love my third graders! This week is my last week of student teaching. I will miss them.
What we've been up to!
Nick has been working as a long term sub at a school for mentally handicapped children. He teaches math, reading, writing and swimming! He really enjoys being around these kids. For a while he was considering changing his major from History Education to Special Education, but I think that idea has passed. One of the only bad things about his job is that the kids get violent sometimes. He came home with some pretty bad scratches this week. Everything else about the job is great. I’m so happy he’s enjoying his work!
More snow
A couple of weeks ago Nick's aunt and cousins took us to an elk farm. We rode around on a sleigh and looked at all the huge elk. After living in town so much for the past four years, I am beginning to realize what a country girl I am. I love being out in the country like this! I miss the farm : )
