Lots to Blog About!

For once I have a lot to blog about, but I can't because I'm too busy hangin' out with THESE GUYS!

Movie night. We saw Tangled and we ALL loved it. Go see it. It will make you want to grow your hair out.

This is my last week to hang out with Ash before her mission :(/:). Kind of bitter sweet. Nick is home pulling all-nighters to get his finals done, and Danny and I came to Grandma and Grandpa's house to be with Ashley!

I will have to post about mine and Danny's birthdays when I'm back home! So check back next week :). Happy Happy Holidays!

It's Going Too Fast

I can't believe my baby is going to one tomorrow. He's so sweet: ).

Me: "Hmmm...you could vacuum all the floors, and dust and clean all the glass in the living room."

I can't believe it's almost been a year! I'm so excited to plan his party and make his cake, that I keep forgetting my Birthday is the day before his : ).

I love you Danny!

I'm using some ideas from the last two pictures for his Birthday cake. Hope it turns out!

And so it begins...

Danny has reached the "empty everything out in sight" stage. Every time I turn my back on him today he is into something new. It makes more work for me, but it's sooo cute!

He's also at the "smile at the camera" stage, and that's cute too : ).

Halloween and Happy Birthdays!

Well we never got around to dressing Danny up, but he got to see BOTH grandmas and grandpas over the Halloween weekend. Lucky boy. We made a quick trip to Pendleton to go to the temple with Ash, and for little Gage's baby blessing. Danny loved chasing Cache and Naomi around. He wasn't interested in Gage at all. I guess he only likes the ones that make noise and run around! Being with family is the most wonderful thing. We missed you Ben and Cindy!

Today is my sister-in-law Jordan's Birthday. Happy Birthday!

She only lives 30 minutes away from us, so I made her a tiny birthday cake.

It turned out very cute!

We were way too stuffed after Dinner, so I never got a chance to taste it. Hope it tastes yummy!

My cutie-pie niece and nephew had birthdays this week too. Happy Birthday Cache and Savannah! I wish I could have been there to make you birthday cakes too!

Yummy Projects

I made these for my friend who just had a baby. Her oldest daughter is turning six tomorrow, and these cupcakes are for her birthday. I love how they turned out!

What a good day
*This post is mostly for me because I want to remember this day

This is how my day went yesterday...

• Woke up and ate breakfast with my cute Danny baby.
• Did my insanity workout-It feels so good to exercise int he morning.
• Showered while Danny took his morning nap, and had time to shave my legs. FINALLY!
• Dropped Nick off at school. It's a short drive, but I enjoy the time with him.
• Took Danny to the store to refill our empty kitchen. I ended up holding him in one arm and pushing the cart with the other, but I didn't go over budget!
• Ran home to eat a quick burnt quesadilla before going to pick up Nick.
• Worked on my cross stitch while Danny took another nap.
• Curled my hair for my REAL date with Nick. Yay!
• Dropped off Danny at a friend's house.
• Ate at a Mexican Restaurant owned by a sweet family that used to be our neighbors.
• Sang lullabies to Danny until he fell asleep.
• Talked with Nick a little while crawling into bed.
• Fell asleep to Nick kissing my cheek, playing with my hair, and saying, "see, now isn't this better than going out on a date."

I wish everyday could be like this... but then the dishes would never get done : ).

If You Like Pineapple... You're Gonna Love These!

Cookie:

One Golden Vanilla cake mix

2 eggs

1/2 cup oil

Mix and bake at 375 degrees for about 9 minutes

Frosting;

One 8 oz cool whip

One 20 oz can crushed pineapple with juice

One large pack of instant vanilla pudding

optional- coconut

-Mix together by hand or mixer.

Frost each layer. Optional-garnish with

mandarin orange slices, pineapple chunks

and/or coconut.

This is what my friend Renetta had to say about them on Facebook,

"Oh my gosh...what the heck are those cookies and I want the recipe....I scarfed down two of them without even taking a breath....So YUMMMMMMMYYYYYY thanks."

My Little Helper


While sitting on the floor brushing my teeth with Danny this morning, it hit me that there is not ONE thing I do without him by my side. Whether I'm eating, cleaning, cooking, shopping, getting ready, or anything else I do during the day, Danny gets to help with it all. Even though it slows things down quite a bit, I love having a little helper.

Thank goodness I have Nick around to help when I get worn out, and to help me not take life's little disasters too seriously. For example my first attempt at making homemade bread...


Nice and doughy on the inside, and hard as a rock on the outside...Not yummy.

Danny's First Lagoon Adventure

We got to go to Lagoon last month with Nick's family. It was sunny but not too hot, and lines weren't very long either! I had so much fun. There's something bonding about sitting next to your husband on a roller coaster and screaming like crazy.

BEST ride in the park!

Here we are with Jordan and our soon to be brother-in-law Carl! Just a few more weeks until the best outdoor wedding you'll ever see! I'm making the cake so wish me luck!

Danny rode around with Grandpa Dan all day who doesn't like to go on rides. In between each ride I would go check on Danny, and this is what he always looked like! He loves being outside and going for rides in the stroller.

Danny was pretty worn out by the end of the day.

But not too worn out to laugh and smile for a little while longer. What a good baby : ).

Congratulations Nick!

Just a few weeks ago Nick was officially accepted to the Bachelor Degree Completion Program through the Navy. This program pays for him to complete his schooling, and the only thing he has to do until graduation is get good grades, avoid breaking the law, and report to an officer every few weeks. We have been waiting for quite awhile for all the paper work to go through, so we're pretty excited it's all done. This picture was taken just after he was sworn in. We're both excited and a little nervous for the experiences we are going to have. I'm so proud of Nick for his desire to serve, and I love thinking about the pride Danny will feel when he tells other people what his dad served as an officer in the Navy.

Big Boy

Danny loves his "big-boy toy." I can't believe how fast he is growing up. His first tooth popped through today! It makes me a little sad that he's old enough for that. I wish you could all know him like we do. He brings so much happiness to our little family.

To Do List

Someone once told me that it's ok to add things to your list after you do them, even if they weren't originally on there : ). I like that.

We spent spring break in Pendleton. While there, we were able to see Joe play rugby. It was our first time ever watching a rugby game. Pretty intense! Sorry you guys lost Joe... Growing and Changing

Danny is going on 4 months now and getting bigger everyday! It's so fun to see him smile so much. We recently discovered that he LOVES looking in the mirror. He smiles big at himself and then hides his face like he's shy. It's adorable.

This pictures was taken right after his first giggle that I MISSED : (. We were on a road trip with my mom and grandma Carla. I ran inside to the bathroom and when I came out they said he giggled! Of course he wouldn't do it again for me right then, but I've seen it a few times since. Nick absolutely loves it. He's been waiting a long time for Danny to start interacting with him. I keep thinking that I don't want him to grow up and change, but I'm loving all the new things he does.

Makin' Cakes

I started a cake class a few weeks ago!

I think pictures are better with people in them so I put the cake down by Danny. That wasn't the best idea considering he can move small distances when he gets excited or sees something he wants.
Right after I took the picture Danny lunged forward and put his head right into the cake. Good thing I wasn't planning on giving it away : ). At least I got some cute pictures first.

Congradulations Jordy!

My lovely sister-in-law Jordan is getting married! We're excited to have Carl in the family. Their wedding and reception will be in August at Cameo Heights Mansion! I'm excited because that is where we spent our honeymoon and we haven't been back since. Jordan asked me to make her cake so I'm constantly thinking about cakes! Sometimes it keeps me awake at night : ).
