Yummy Projects

I made these for my friend who just had a baby. Her oldest daughter is turning six tomorrow, and these cupcakes are for her birthday. I love how they turned out!

Months 9-10

What a good day
*This post is mostly for me because I want to remember this day

This is how my day went yesterday...

• Woke up and ate breakfast with my cute Danny baby.
• Did my insanity workout-It feels so good to exercise int he morning.
• Showered while Danny took his morning nap, and had time to shave my legs. FINALLY!
• Dropped Nick off at school. It's a short drive, but I enjoy the time with him.
• Took Danny to the store to refill our empty kitchen. I ended up holding him in one arm and pushing the cart with the other, but I didn't go over budget!
• Ran home to eat a quick burnt quesadilla before going to pick up Nick.
• Worked on my cross stitch while Danny took another nap.
• Curled my hair for my REAL date with Nick. Yay!
• Dropped off Danny at a friend's house.
• Ate at a Mexican Restaurant owned by a sweet family that used to be our neighbors.
• Sang lullabies to Danny until he fell asleep.
• Talked with Nick a little while crawling into bed.
• Fell asleep to Nick kissing my cheek, playing with my hair, and saying, "see, now isn't this better than going out on a date."

I wish everyday could be like this... but then the dishes would never get done : ).

If You Like Pineapple... You're Gonna Love These!

Cookie:

One Golden Vanilla cake mix

2 eggs

1/2 cup oil

Mix and bake at 375 degrees for about 9 minutes

Frosting;

One 8 oz cool whip

One 20 oz can crushed pineapple with juice

One large pack of instant vanilla pudding

optional- coconut

-Mix together by hand or mixer.

Frost each layer. Optional-garnish with

mandarin orange slices, pineapple chunks

and/or coconut.

This is what my friend Renetta had to say about them on Facebook,

"Oh my gosh...what the heck are those cookies and I want the recipe....I scarfed down two of them without even taking a breath....So YUMMMMMMMYYYYYY thanks."

My Little Helper


While sitting on the floor brushing my teeth with Danny this morning, it hit me that there is not ONE thing I do without him by my side. Whether I'm eating, cleaning, cooking, shopping, getting ready, or anything else I do during the day, Danny gets to help with it all. Even though it slows things down quite a bit, I love having a little helper.

Thank goodness I have Nick around to help when I get worn out, and to help me not take life's little disasters too seriously. For example my first attempt at making homemade bread...


Nice and doughy on the inside, and hard as a rock on the outside...Not yummy.
