Quick Catch Up

I haven't blogged for so long!

Things have been a little busy around here.

Two weeks after school started, an afternoon kindergarten position opened. I was so bummed that I took the second grade long term sub job, and thought that I was stuck there.

I was just getting the hang of teaching second grade, but I've wanted to try kindergarten for YEARS!

Well I told my principal how I was feeling. She said to go for it, so I did! Boy am I glad I talked to her because I LOVE my job!
Kinders are ADORABLE, but what I love most about it is that I have more time to hang out with Nick and Danny. Nick has been INSANELY busy with school work, but finals week is done and now he only has one class. It's so fun to watch movies, or go on walks without feeling like I'm keeping him from studying. We've been trying new recipes together recently too!

I love having the mornings with Danny and since I teach afternoons, it's no big deal if we stay up a little too late on school nights : ).

Every Friday when I pick up Danny, we go on an ice cream date.

Danny smile for my camera!
Wait, try to smile with your eyes open...
 Shoot now he's distracted.

Here's one example of how we spend our mornings.
Fishin' in the bathtub while mom gets ready.

Danny hangin' out again while mom gets ready.

Danny is sitting on the computer desk right now watching home videos from a year ago. Boy has he changed! It makes me a little sad sometimes, but I love the stage he's in right now. He gets really excited about birthdays and holidays which is so fun because so do I!
We took Danny to his first pumpkin patch over the weekend. He was pretty dang excited!

I couldn't believe all the pumpkins!
Danny picked a pretty good one!
Grandpa Dan's pumpkin. Going to the pumpkin patch was his idea : ).
Here I am directing him to the bigger and better pumpkins : ).
The hay ride. Danny's favorite part.

These last pictures are from Round Up week back in September.
Parades are so much more fun with toddlers.
We got free tickets to the Round Up concert. We saw Jake Owens and Lonestar.
We sat with Joe and Kierra, and Nick's fam.
During the concert I got the funniest text of my life from my sister Amie. Ask her about it the next time you see her.
Danny was crazy about the carnival. They're not my favorite, but he was so excited we had to go twice.
So that was a very quick update of the last month of our lives, but I hope you enjoyed it : ). Life is  good at the Leonard house.
